4-Acetoxy-N-methyl-N-ethyltryptamine (also known as 4-AcO-MET, Metacetin, and Azomet) is a lesser-known novel psychedelic substance of tryptamine class. Members of this group produce psilocybin-like psychedelic effects when administered. It is structurally related to psychedelic tryptamines like 4-AcO-DMT, 4-AcO-DET, and 4-AcO-MiPT.

T0:00- Eat my dose. I am in a park near one of the major rivers that delineates the boundaries of the city. It is an unseasonably warm overcast day. T0:18- Feeling tension in my jaw and my muscles. Chew some gum. I decide to go for a walk across the big bridge that spans the river.
On an oval wood table next to my bed is a cup containing 30-35mg 4-aco-met. The scale said 33mg. I have consumed this compound in the 15 to 20mg range 3-5 times before. The settings of these experiences have always been around people or in a social environment.
This was my first time taking 4-AcO-MET. My experience with psychedelics: 2x LSA (HBW seeds) I decided to go on a hiking trip, alone. I chose a route that I know well so that I don't have to worry about finding home. I was excited about the trip and my mood was good that morning.
4-AcO-MET - 25mg Orally Setting: Monday afternoon, after getting off work. At approximately 4pm, I ingest 25mg of 4-AcO-MET on an empty stomach. 0:00 - I ingest 4-AcO-MET and smoke weed with my girlfriend while she compiles a shopping list of food for the week.
Taken as part of my visit, in a friend group, of a multi-day Goa festival. After a bad 2C-B trip the day before, I wanted to have a good time. I knew of my previous experience that 4-AcO-MET has a profound impact on me even at the supposedly "light" 15 mg dose.
I have jammed a bunch of alphabet soup into every available orifice for a while now, and taking a Βthreshold to lightΒ dose of 10 mg of 4 AcO MET had me pretty well beyond anything ever, really. It must be a genetic match, my brain and that shit, let me tell you boy howdy.
Background: I recently have been intrigued by 4 substituted tryptamines. Despite my previously horrible experiences with even low doses of mushrooms (in the ~1g range), 4-AcO-MET caught my eye due to its anecdotally clear head space and LSD like visuals.
