Summary
Triazolam is an extremely potent, ultra-short-acting benzodiazepine prescribed for short-term treatment of insomnia (7-10 days maximum). It was withdrawn from the UK market due to high incidence of psychiatric adverse reactions including amnesia, confusion, paradoxical agitation, and hallucinations. Risk of complex sleep behaviors (sleep-driving, sleep-eating) and severe anterograde amnesia is higher than most benzodiazepines.

Falls after you stop, at a rate that varies from person to person. If you've been using regularly, cut down gradually with medical help rather than stopping suddenly.
No tolerance chart. Our decay curves for these drugs were estimates, and a curve can make tolerance look longer-lasting than it is, which is the dangerous direction.
How fast tolerance to these drugs fades after a break has not been measured well enough to draw, so don't count on a dose you used to take still being safe: after time off, start with a much smaller amount and don't use alone. Mixing sedatives with each other, with alcohol or with opioids sharply raises the risk of a fatal overdose. If you've been using regularly, don't stop suddenly: withdrawal from benzodiazepines, alcohol or GHB/GBL can cause seizures or delirium, so get medical help to cut down gradually.

A month ago, a filling fell out of one of my molars. The dentist told me that he wasn't sure, but I might have to have a root canal. As he brought the Novocain needle towards my mouth, I began to panic and started crying.
I don't know how many people will be cruising over to the triazolam section of erowid, given the vast quantity of way more interesting things, but I did. So I might as well give an account of my experience with this drug.
Due to the limited amount of information about Triazolam (Halcion) available, I felt the need to post this experience in full detail. I've been a fan of sleep-inducing pharmaceuticals for many years. Long, clean sleep is something I find myself taking for granted.
Ahhh The refreshing smell of a benzo in my nose yo. So I am avid with benzo I have yet been able to take Xanax that will actually make me buzz. I have maxed at 13 mg of Xanax with no effect besides post amnesia very mild.
First off, I'm no stranger to benzodiazepines. I've used a few to date varying from Klonopin and Valium, to Xanax and recently Triazolam. On this occasion I obtained about 30 or so tiny pills of Triazolam (.125mg/each).
In the '70s I was a young social worker doing general "family support" work with families on welfare. A client of mine--let's call her Cathy, because that's not her name--had been doing extremely well in an external sense: Managing her limited money well, taking great care of her two kids, and keeping her apartment spo...
[Erowid Note: Driving while intoxicated, tripping, or extremely sleep deprived is dangerous and irresponsible because it endangers other people. Don't do it! ] I took 4 0.125mg Halcion tablets outside the pharmacy and started to drive home.

Exploring the outer limits with Halcion (triazolam) 5:20 PM- Ingested 2 mg triazolam in the form of 8 .25 mg tablets. (I am writing this as the effects develop) Halcion is by far my favorite benzodiazepine in terms of abuse. It hits me fast and hard, and produces a distinct "rush" that other benzo's don't.
