    Summary dose.wiki Erowid TripSit PsychonautWiki

Clonazepam is a long-acting benzodiazepine with an elimination half-life of 30-40 hours. Abrupt discontinuation after regular use can cause life-threatening withdrawal symptoms including seizures. Tapering over weeks or months under medical supervision is essential.

    Tolerance

Build-up develops over 1–4 weeks of daily use; hypnotic tolerance faster than anxiolytic tolerance
Reset Falls after you stop, at a rate that varies from person to person. If you've been using regularly, cut down gradually with medical help rather than stopping suddenly.

No tolerance chart. Our decay curves for these drugs were estimates, and a curve can make tolerance look longer-lasting than it is, which is the dangerous direction.

How fast tolerance to these drugs fades after a break has not been measured well enough to draw, so don't count on a dose you used to take still being safe: after time off, start with a much smaller amount and don't use alone. Mixing sedatives with each other, with alcohol or with opioids sharply raises the risk of a fatal overdose. If you've been using regularly, don't stop suddenly: withdrawal from benzodiazepines, alcohol or GHB/GBL can cause seizures or delirium, so get medical help to cut down gradually.

    Effects Erowid Bluelight

Aggregated from 114 single-substance Erowid and 21 Bluelight experience reports; 154 Erowid reports where another drug was taken too are left out

Each bar shows the share of analyzed reports whose text mentions that effect — a mention is not always a first-hand experience (fear of an effect or something witnessed can count). Mentions saying the effect did not happen are left out; that check reads keywords, so it can miss some. The shaded band on a bar, and the small range after its number, is the 95% interval: where the share could plausibly be with other reports of the same kind. Fewer reports, wider band. Tap or hover any number for details. The second value is the Bluelight extractor's per-effect confidence; a dash means the row is Erowid-derived, which has no confidence measurement.

Also reported in combinations. In the 154 Clonazepam reports where another drug was taken too, 18 (11.7%) mention hospital, emergency services or an overdose, 7 (4.5%) a seizure and 8 (5.2%) psychosis. In the 114 single-substance reports: 13.2%, 3.5% and 2.6%. These are not in the figures above: they cannot be put down to Clonazepam alone, and a mention is not always something that happened to the writer.

I have experienced with Clonazepam several times in the past. With all very different outcomes. This particular occasion was like every other night. My mother had gone to bed; my brother and sister soon followed, while I remained awake.

My brother and I had taken 1.5 bars of Xanax each the night before Easter sunday. When we awoke from a fun night of intoxication and blurred memories we decided that this usually boring day should made more enjoyable with the help of some Pharmies.

Clonazepam is a great drug to mellow out, act stupid, and have fun. However, if taken in high doses, these fun activities become amplified, adding anterograde amnesia to the mix. It was a bright summer day, and I woke up in a good mood. I smoked a bowl of cannabis, and proceded to take 5 pills of .5 mg clonazepam.

Okay, I'm going to start with something simple. I am not a drug addict. I smoke cigarettes, occasionally I'll smoke some cannabis when I'm with friends. Once per two months or so is about right. Although, occasionally, I will take pills in order to help me that day. For example, a Ritalin to focus on a class.

I was in sober living, 40 days sober, and as a disastrous relationship was tearing me up, I wanted anything to get my mind off of it. I had been an oxy cotton/heroin addict for a year and a half, than got put into rehab by my family. I went in and out of rehabs and sober houses, and a friend introduced me to needles.

In 3rd grade, I was diagnosed with ADD by means of a double-blind study. Mine has been dubbed a severe case (I can convert the skeptics), and I went through Ritalin, Concerta, Strattera (which was BS), Adderall, and now have settled on Vyvanse.

I NEVER drive, operate heavy machinery, attempt to speak to law enforcement or authority figures, or even attempt sexual relations when under the influence of this substance.
