    Summary dose.wiki Erowid TripSit PsychonautWiki

6-(2-Aminopropyl)benzofuran (commonly known as 6-APB) is a novel entactogen of the benzofuran class and the 6-positional isomer of 5-APB. It produces MDMA-like entactogenic, stimulating, and mildly psychedelic effects with a notably long duration (often 7-10 hours oral). Widely sold in the UK head-shop era as "Benzo Fury" (~2010-2013) before being placed under a Temporary Class Drug Order and later banned. It is distinct from 5-APB in receptor profile and dosing, and is associated with prolonged comedowns and cardiovascular strain at higher doses.

    Perspectives

“The moniker "Benzo-Fury" that this drug sometimes bears is very deceptive (though the name is taken from its chemical structure). It is an overall mild empathogen, not as intensely stimulating or explosively euphoric as MDMA. Rather, it is a light psychedelic hypomania with a few subtle hallucinatory effects.”

“It is not a chemical to make a habit of.”

    Tolerance

No tolerance chart. No study has measured how long tolerance to it lasts, so this page shows what is known instead of a curve.

No study has measured tolerance to 6-APB. PsychonautWiki estimates that tolerance halves in 3-4 weeks and is gone in 6-8 weeks, without citing a source. Lab tests show 6-APB activates the 5-HT2B receptor, which is linked to heart-valve damage, so regular use carries a risk of its own.

    Effects Erowid Bluelight

Aggregated from 38 single-substance Erowid and 57 Bluelight experience reports (the Bluelight figures come from the 50 of them read for effects); 42 Erowid reports where another drug was taken too are left out

Each bar shows the share of analyzed reports whose text mentions that effect — a mention is not always a first-hand experience (fear of an effect or something witnessed can count). Mentions saying the effect did not happen are left out; that check reads keywords, so it can miss some. The shaded band on a bar, and the small range after its number, is the 95% interval: where the share could plausibly be with other reports of the same kind. Fewer reports, wider band. Tap or hover any number for details. The second value is the Bluelight extractor's per-effect confidence; a dash means the row is Erowid-derived, which has no confidence measurement.

Also reported in combinations. In the 42 6-APB reports where another drug was taken too, 4 (9.5%) mention hospital, emergency services or an overdose, 3 (7.1%) a seizure and 2 (4.8%) psychosis. In the 38 single-substance reports: 5.3%, 2.6% and 2.6%. These are not in the figures above: they cannot be put down to 6-APB alone, and a mention is not always something that happened to the writer.

I showed up at a Burner party and they were telling me about a wonderful Molly-like drug, 6APB. They told me its effects were very much like molly. I hadn't planned on rolling that night, but what the heck, it'd be a lot more fun than just drinking. Besides, I space out my rolls over many months. I consumed a capsule.
