Ahhh opiates, how delightful they are. I've previously experienced Vicodin a good 10+ times (anywhere from 10mg-50mg) and I loved every second of it (minus the need to itch every second!) I've also done Oxycontin once.

Summary
Tapentadol often sold under the brand name Nucynta is a synthetic opioid analgesic similar in structure to tramadol. Tapentadol has a duel mechanism of action, working on both the μ-opioid receptor and also acting as a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. Tapentadol is used in the management of moderate to severe pain.

Tolerance
No tolerance chart. Our decay curves for opioids were estimates, and a curve can make tolerance look longer-lasting than it is, which is the dangerous direction.
Opioid tolerance drops fast when you stop, and even a few days off can be enough, so a dose that used to be normal can now stop your breathing. Overdose deaths rise sharply after prison, detox or leaving treatment, and tolerance also falls during a hospital stay. After any break, start with a much smaller amount, try a test dose first, don't use alone, and keep naloxone within reach. Alcohol, benzodiazepines, gabapentinoids and other sedatives make an opioid overdose much more likely.

Effects
Aggregated from 19 single-substance Erowid experience reports; 4 Erowid reports where another drug was taken too are left out
Each bar shows the share of analyzed reports whose text mentions that effect — a mention is not always a first-hand experience (fear of an effect or something witnessed can count). Mentions saying the effect did not happen are left out; that check reads keywords, so it can miss some. The shaded band on a bar, and the small range after its number, is the 95% interval: where the share could plausibly be with other reports of the same kind. Fewer reports, wider band. Tap or hover any number for details. The second value is the Bluelight extractor's per-effect confidence; a dash means the row is Erowid-derived, which has no confidence measurement.
Too few reports for bars: these effects come from 19 single-substance Erowid reports, and a bar is drawn only from 20 reports or more. With fewer, a percentage cannot tell a common effect from a rare one. Counts are shown instead. Why 20?

ROA: Tapentadol (Palexia IR) rectal, dissolved in 5mL warmed tap water. I have not drunk alcohol in 5 days, it has been over a week since I have ingested tapentadol. I was prescribed it post-op after ORIF for a fracture. T = 0: I lie in bed waiting for tapentadol to take effect.
Slow day, nothing to do, found some Nycanta/Tapentadol, will test recreational value. (Have experience in opiates - percocets, Lortabs, oxycontin, vicodin. Also non-opioid pain killers (such as tramadol, darvocets). Not addicted to any, nor took them for long periods of time. Just a bunch of times, on and off.
Before I get started here is some information I feel is relevant to this report. I will be attempting to fill in this report as my trip progresses (present tense). This is my first experience with a more 'hardcore' opiate.
Well. Here I sit, finally writing my own experience report... I'm not sure why I haven't before because I've long since been an avid explorer of pharmaceuticals, as well as enjoying my booze bud and blow.
On Nucynta Abuse I've looked around the internet for a while now regarding the topic of abusing the new drug Nucynta. I was (and suppose I still am) a 'drug enthusiast', placing my usage of drugs not as mere experimentation, but as a fully-fledged, dedicated hobby; I read and researched for more hours than I actually s...

Tapentadol (Palexia) Withdrawal I am cataloguing my experience with Tapentadol (Palexia) withdrawal because it seems to be one of the less common opioids, and there doesn't seem to be as much information on the web or in the experience vaults compared to other opioids. I am 33 years old and living with a partner.

My report will go over my experiences with tapentadol over 5 days (consecutively). I recently got some tapentadol and didn't know what to expect, having tried the other weaker opioids like tramadol, kratom, codeine and demerol I expected it to be somewhere along the synthethetic opiods like tramadol or a cross between...
I posted these on another forum. Will repost here: 8-25-2009 "I have done nucynta now after being off pain meds for a few weeks. Swims pain is now back at full force. My brother confessed that he only took half the pill. No wonder it was not effective... I has taken 100 mg and can certainly see why its a schedule II.
i'm a legitimate chronic pain patient recovering from massive lower extremity injuries due to a high speed frontal impace. Was just prescribed Nucynta (tapentadol) @ 100mg 4x days. also on 2.5mg k-pins, 30mg lexaprol for mood regulaton, and keppra and lunesta for sleep.
Chemical- Tapentadol (Nucynta) Dose - 400mg Set - Had work to accomplish, so I thought an opioid would help. Setting - Home __________________________________ I acquired some of these pills from an acquaintance who said the high was similar to morphine (not even close, in reality).
Well if taken orally (for me atleast), I typically need 150MG (2 75mg)or more to feel any sort of buzz. After about 25 minutes i felt it kicking in, it gave the nice opioid receptor tingle (if you know what i mean) . There really wasn't any euphoria for me by any means, It just makes me feel kinda bland.

Import into PsychonautWiki Journal
The PsychonautWiki Journal app includes Tapentadol, but its built-in data can be thinner than ours. Importing this file adds a separate "Tapentadol (Substance Search)" custom substance with our dose ranges and durations, so you can log against whichever you prefer. It leaves tolerance out on purpose, for the reason given under Tolerance above.
Ranges are harm-reduction guidance, not a prescription.
