    Summary dose.wiki Erowid TripSit PsychonautWiki

Quetiapine is primarily prescribed for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and as adjunct therapy in major depressive disorder. Off-label use for insomnia is common but not recommended due to metabolic side effects, weight gain, and risk of orthostatic hypotension. Recreational misuse is driven by sedative and anxiolytic properties rather than euphoric effects.

    Effects Erowid

Aggregated from 60 single-substance Erowid experience reports; 67 Erowid reports where another drug was taken too are left out

Each bar shows the share of analyzed reports whose text mentions that effect — a mention is not always a first-hand experience (fear of an effect or something witnessed can count). Mentions saying the effect did not happen are left out; that check reads keywords, so it can miss some. The shaded band on a bar, and the small range after its number, is the 95% interval: where the share could plausibly be with other reports of the same kind. Fewer reports, wider band. Tap or hover any number for details. The second value is the Bluelight extractor's per-effect confidence; a dash means the row is Erowid-derived, which has no confidence measurement.

Also reported in combinations. In the 67 Quetiapine reports where another drug was taken too, 13 (19.4%) mention hospital, emergency services or an overdose, 4 (6.0%) a seizure and 13 (19.4%) psychosis. In the 60 single-substance reports: 15.0%, 3.3% and 18.3%. These are not in the figures above: they cannot be put down to Quetiapine alone, and a mention is not always something that happened to the writer.

This drug is not fun. If you are incredibly desperate to fall asleep, it could be helpful. But I took 50mg around 1am and tried to stay awake, but was asleep by 1:30. I was texting some friends but had to stop due to an overwhelming urge to sleep. My legs felt restless and I was extremely uncomfortable.

Ok, so this is actually two separate stories. Each took place within a week of the other (2006), but the first account was written a few days after, and the second was written about a year later (2007). And it is now being reposted 2 years later (2008).

Well I'm all over the place right now. I'm currently on my daily dose of 200 mg of seroquel for an as of yet undiagnosed psychiatric condition, probably bipolar based on my manic symptoms. I started seroquel treatment 10 days ago.

I've been taking Quetiapine (Seroquel) for insomnia for the last couple months. I am one of the unfortunate group of people who are recovering from substance abuse and addiction, but also have a sleep disorder.

This report is more for people who are being prescribed or thinking about accepting their all-knowing shrink's offer to perscribe them Seroquel, not recreational users... If I ever caught someone using seroquel recreationally I would have to smack them upside the head and laugh in their face as a matter of principle.

I have been incorrectly diagnosed with different mental illnesses throughout my life, ranging from ADD to Bipolar Disorder. After a great deal of research of the symptoms of various mental conditions I have concluded that there is nothing 'wrong' with me.

I have had anxiety as long as I can remember. I have been diagnosed recently by my psychiatrist as having general anxiety disorder, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, and border line personality disorder. I had a very traumatic childhood, and anxiety runs very strong in my family.

I hope this qualifies as a trip report. I'll just go ahead and tell you what went down last night... So it's friday night and I'm watching the baby while my girlfriend is off to work.

Seroquel Inexperienced Are We Dead Yet cautionary

So, I'm a freshman where I'm from and very inexperienced when it comes to drugs. Mainly I just smoke pot and drink but I decided one day to try Seroquel because it's all I had, and my dumbass friend "assured" me it would get me high. So anyway, I pop 4 seroquel tablets (100 MG'S) so I've now taken 400 MG of Seroquel.
