After reviewing many online trip reports over a significant amount of time, I have only felt compelled to submit an entry on a couple of occasions. This particular missive I have decided to write for a couple of reasons: For one, there isnt much in the way of comprehensive ephedrine or pseudo-ephedrine related article...

Effects
Aggregated from 6 single-substance Erowid experience reports; 15 Erowid reports where another drug was taken too are left out
Each bar shows the share of analyzed reports whose text mentions that effect — a mention is not always a first-hand experience (fear of an effect or something witnessed can count). Mentions saying the effect did not happen are left out; that check reads keywords, so it can miss some. The shaded band on a bar, and the small range after its number, is the 95% interval: where the share could plausibly be with other reports of the same kind. Fewer reports, wider band. Tap or hover any number for details. The second value is the Bluelight extractor's per-effect confidence; a dash means the row is Erowid-derived, which has no confidence measurement.
Too few reports for bars: these effects come from 6 single-substance Erowid reports, and a bar is drawn only from 20 reports or more. With fewer, a percentage cannot tell a common effect from a rare one. Counts are shown instead. Why 20?

Also reported in combinations. In the 15 Pseudoephedrine reports where another drug was taken too, 3 mention hospital, emergency services or an overdose, 2 a seizure and 1 psychosis (too few reports for percentages). In the 6 single-substance reports: 1, 0 and 0. These are not in the figures above: they cannot be put down to Pseudoephedrine alone, and a mention is not always something that happened to the writer.

Some background about me, before I get into the meat of this report: I'm experienced with a wide variety of substances, mostly psychedelics, dissociatives, and psychiatric medications (although the first two don't factor into this report at all).
[Erowid Note: The dose described in this report is very high, potentially beyond Erowid's 'heavy' range, and could pose serious health risks or result in unwanted, extreme effects.
Previous drug experiences include alcohol, cannabis, synthetic cannabinoids, mephedrone, cocaine, piperazines, bk-MDMA, methylphenidate, diazepam, zopiclone, dextromethorphan, diphenhydramine, and lysergamides. Several months ago, I began using Sudafed (pseudoephedrine) tablets to deal with nasal congestion.
It is almost a habit of mine to experiment with different levels of this particular substance to see what it will do to me. I was heavily interested in seeing extremes a couple of years back, but recently with more research and experience I have been exploring relatively lower doses and analyzing their effects on my ex...
Why the fuck did I even do this drug again? I popped 3 60mg pills of Actifed around 9PM. I figured I wouldnt be going out, so it was ok. I usually like to experiment with drugs when Im alone. It gives me the chance to find out what drugs do, while I dont act like an idiot in front of other people.
I have been reading reports on different experiences of taking Pseudoephidrine at high doses for a while now. I recently read an article relating to an experience of taking 180mg pseudo and having a very euphoric trip. I decided, then, to give it a try.

30mg Pseudoephedrine & 0.5g Paracetamol - 1st P.E. - Very Energised I have a new job where I have to get physically active for long periods of time (sorry I cannot go in to details on this!) After a morning at work, I was on lunch break, and took a pill (intended for relieving colds, I believe) having never tried any k...
I have experience with various drugs, some very familiar with and some not. I've taken sudafed multiple times, under difference circumstances, with caffeine, with alcohol, while sleep deprived...etc...this was one experience that suprised me. I got up around 3am to do my paper route. I was tired, but I'm always tired.
So I decided to use sudafed 24hr pill to take the easy way out. I took 3.6 grams, the pills were all chopped up to enhance effect. First thing that hit me was a free falling sensation i guess a rollacoster type feeling. Then hallucinations started saw all kind of weird shits.

The PsychonautWiki Journal logging app doesn't include every substance. To track Pseudoephedrine there, start adding an ingestion, search for the name, and choose to add it as a custom substance. Paste these values:
Pseudoephedrine Source: SubstanceSearch (substancesearch.com) Oral dose (mg): light 30-60 · common 60-90 · strong 90-120 · heavy 120+ Oral duration: onset 0.17-1.5h · peak 2-12h · total 2-12h Note: ranges are harm-reduction guidance, not a prescription. Start low, go slow, and test your substances.
Tip: for quicker logging you can also add a Custom Unit in the app, e.g. common dose ~ 75 mg (Oral).
The app keeps custom substances simple, so the full dose ranges live in the description text above. Ranges are harm-reduction guidance, not a prescription.
