    Summary TripSit

A rare entactogenic drug and analogue of MDMA possibly first synthesised by David Nichols. Potentially less potent than related drugs of its type. Sometimes referred to as a 'watered down MDMA.'.

    Perspectives

“Generally very, very friendly, very quiet effect. I can read easily, but looking at pictures in most books is relatively meaningless. Distinct de-stressing effect, to the point where it’s too much trouble to set out to do anything at all, really. There is just no drive, and it isn’t even bothersome to be missing it. Do I like it? Yes, very much. Feel that I’ve just begun to explore it, though. Would I consider this material in therapy? Well, sure, it’s worth trying. Destressing would be excellent, and better than MDMA in some ways, but the empathy and intuition levels have yet to be explored in a therapy setting. I feel that they may be somehow lower.”

    Effects Erowid

Aggregated from 13 single-substance Erowid experience reports; 2 Erowid reports where another drug was taken too are left out

Each bar shows the share of analyzed reports whose text mentions that effect — a mention is not always a first-hand experience (fear of an effect or something witnessed can count). Mentions saying the effect did not happen are left out; that check reads keywords, so it can miss some. The shaded band on a bar, and the small range after its number, is the 95% interval: where the share could plausibly be with other reports of the same kind. Fewer reports, wider band. Tap or hover any number for details. The second value is the Bluelight extractor's per-effect confidence; a dash means the row is Erowid-derived, which has no confidence measurement.

Too few reports for bars: these effects come from 13 single-substance Erowid reports, and a bar is drawn only from 20 reports or more. With fewer, a percentage cannot tell a common effect from a rare one. Counts are shown instead. Why 20?

A Pleasant MBDB Adventure positive exp #15391

Upon aquiring an unknown, pre-measured dose of MDBD, I tried to find some information on it so that I would know what I was getting myself into...no such luck. No where could I find any information on MDBD, so I had to rely on the source, who told me that it was MDMA'ish, and it was a good dose, and that it was not act...

This was the first time I or my friend knowingly tried MBDB. Mindset: I was really excited about trying this rare phenethylamine for the first time and was in a positive frame of mind. Setting: Isolated, woodsy environment in which I am very comfortable and which has been the scene of many memorable entheogenic experiences in the past.

First Encounter with Mbi Dibi neutral exp #10514

Prelude The opportunity finally presented itself for me to pay a visit to the shrine of the little known African deity Mbi Dibi. I've had plenty of experience with the MDMA family of entheogens, but I'd never knowingly taken MBDB.

In the Garden of Eden positive exp #26415

The common sentiment I've been reading has been that MBDB is not a viable subsitute to MDMA, nor is it worth the trouble to procure and imbibe. I have to disagree with these points of view.

All right, back for round 2. Last time my 185mg oral dose I reported on left me wondering if the dose could be cut in half with insufflation. Intrepid explorer as always.. I carefully weighed out 100mg (not that I think it was too important with MBDB.. the divide-and-conquer method would be fine with this material).

    Insufflated Eden neutral exp #15087

Since nobody has mentioned insufflation as a route of ingestion for MBDB aka Eden aka Methyl-J, and I could find little data regarding this route, I dreamed I experimented so we at least have SOMETHING to go on. 9:30 - App 19.44mg MBDB insuffilated. Smells/tastes like a not quite pure extraction.

Not a Substitute for MDMA positive exp #14386

Because of its claimed similarities to MDMA, I had been curious about MBDB for quite a while. I consider myself to be moderately experienced, particularly considering research chems and MDMA. Many people might have the same questions I had, so I will attempt to run a qualitative comparison between it and MDMA.

The PsychonautWiki Journal logging app doesn't include every substance. To track MBDB there, start adding an ingestion, search for the name, and choose to add it as a custom substance. Paste these values:
