Well I'm taking a break (I guess) from 'researching' - it seems like about time I contributed something to the community. First a bit of history - I have done weed, LSD, mushrooms, xtc, special k, (BZP), perscription pain killers/muscle relaxers, and a whole bunch of herbal assortments (most of which were not worth my...

Summary
BZP was marketed as a legal alternative to amphetamines and MDMA in the early 2000s but is now illegal in many countries. It is approximately 10% the potency of dexamphetamine. Side effects include anxiety, insomnia, nausea, headaches, and seizures at high doses.

Tolerance
Tolerance Decay
Tolerance patterns inferred from stimulant-like use; high uncertainty. Many users report diminished effects after consecutive-day use and substantial recovery after 1โ2 weeks off. Avoid frequent redosing within a single session to limit adverse events.

Effects
Aggregated from 10 single-substance Erowid experience reports; 20 Erowid reports where another drug was taken too are left out
Each bar shows the share of analyzed reports whose text mentions that effect — a mention is not always a first-hand experience (fear of an effect or something witnessed can count). Mentions saying the effect did not happen are left out; that check reads keywords, so it can miss some. The shaded band on a bar, and the small range after its number, is the 95% interval: where the share could plausibly be with other reports of the same kind. Fewer reports, wider band. Tap or hover any number for details. The second value is the Bluelight extractor's per-effect confidence; a dash means the row is Erowid-derived, which has no confidence measurement.
Too few reports for bars: these effects come from 10 single-substance Erowid reports, and a bar is drawn only from 20 reports or more. With fewer, a percentage cannot tell a common effect from a rare one. Counts are shown instead. Why 20?

Also reported in combinations. In the 20 BZP reports where another drug was taken too, 3 (15.0%) mention hospital, emergency services or an overdose, 1 (5.0%) a seizure and 2 (10.0%) psychosis. In the 10 single-substance reports: 1, 0 and 0. These are not in the figures above: they cannot be put down to BZP alone, and a mention is not always something that happened to the writer.

Setting: Mostly in my room, listening to music. No prescription meds. I live in the countryside and have a beautiful forest to stare into when looking out of my window. I am however extremely thin due to my metabolism. My body simply does not absorb as many nutrients as others.
I hope that in writing this people will think twice before deciding to go off and be smart little pricks. I've only very recently come to admit this to myself... How BZP, a stimulant, has played a significant role in who I am today.
Dose: 200 mg BZP (benzylpiperazine) Setting: I'm on a two hour drive to visit my bf. Experience: with most other drugs, much experience with stimulants. First time with BZP. Note: I am taking corticosteroids for an allergic reactions (40 mg prednisone/day).
I've tried BZP a few times before at doses between 150mg - 200mg and thought it was basically similar to Adderall except maybe a little bit more fun and a little bit less focused. Anyway, today I am going to eat some with the intent of practicing guitar for a few hours.
I have been experimenting with BZP HCl recently to see if it would be a mild substitute for ecstasy or maybe even some sort of speed. I have never tried speed (caffeine) before but I think I have a good idea what it would be like.
Tending toward hypersomnolent depression, I've always gravitated to stimulants as a partial (and very imperfect) solution. I'm an avowed caffeine junkie, and I use ephedrine sporadically. So, BZP (1-Benzylpiperazine/N-Benzylpiperazine) seemed like a nice candidate for exploration.
Well i hadn't really heard of BZP before a guy i know told me that he had 100 g. of the stuff, freebase crystallized to HCl. I thought that i might as well try it and bought 200 mg from him. I'm pretty skinny and sensitive to some drugs so i asked him to split it in 2 capsules of 100 mg.

The PsychonautWiki Journal logging app doesn't include every substance. To track BZP there, start adding an ingestion, search for the name, and choose to add it as a custom substance. Paste these values:
BZP Source: SubstanceSearch (substancesearch.com) Oral dose (mg): light 40-70 ยท common 70-100 ยท strong 100-130 ยท heavy 130+ Oral duration: onset 0.5-1.5h ยท come-up 0.5-1h ยท peak 2-4h ยท offset 2-4h ยท total 4-6h ยท after-effects 24h Note: ranges are harm-reduction guidance, not a prescription. Start low, go slow, and test your substances.
Tip: for quicker logging you can also add a Custom Unit in the app, e.g. common dose ~ 85 mg (Oral).
The app keeps custom substances simple, so the full dose ranges live in the description text above. Ranges are harm-reduction guidance, not a prescription.
