    Effects Erowid

Aggregated from 6 single-substance Erowid experience reports; 3 Erowid reports where another drug was taken too are left out

Each bar shows the share of analyzed reports whose text mentions that effect — a mention is not always a first-hand experience (fear of an effect or something witnessed can count). Mentions saying the effect did not happen are left out; that check reads keywords, so it can miss some. The shaded band on a bar, and the small range after its number, is the 95% interval: where the share could plausibly be with other reports of the same kind. Fewer reports, wider band. Tap or hover any number for details. The second value is the Bluelight extractor's per-effect confidence; a dash means the row is Erowid-derived, which has no confidence measurement.

Too few reports for bars: these effects come from 6 single-substance Erowid reports, and a bar is drawn only from 20 reports or more. With fewer, a percentage cannot tell a common effect from a rare one. Counts are shown instead. Why 20?

Benzydamine, cute little chemical with a very short history and basically widely unknown, mostly because it still hasn't gathered enough data since its registration as OTC anti-inflammatory and pain reducing drug.

I have some decent experience in the realm of psychonautics having tried some 40 different psychoactive substances. Unlike other classes of drugs, there are very few entries when it comes to deliriants. After reading about it, Datura got almost immediately ruled out.

I tried Tantum Rosa once. I bought one pack of Tantum Rosa from the pharmacy which contains 10 envelopes with a white dust inside. I put the content of 1 envelope in a glass of water and mix it until almost all of the dust was dissolved. I drank a little and found that it is extremely salty, almost made me puke.

THE SUBSTANCE I dissolved it in water (25ml per pack) and filtered it in a paper towel in order to get rid of the dissolved salt. I swallowed the paper towel that contained that substance. I took 3 packs of tantum rosa (450 mg).

Benzydamine chydrochloride 1-benzylo-3-[3-(dimethylo-amino)-propoxy]-1H-indazole I have extracted this substance from Tantum Rosa, which also contains 9 grams of salt. It takes about 1,5 hour before first effects appear like stimulation, strong stimulation like on ephedrine or amphetamine but less pleasant.

It was a nice afternoon, I had no money and I had to something to get me high. I started searching in the pill jar but nothing special. So, I found a mouth washing solution than you can get in Pharmacies in my country without prescription and contains a high percentage of Benzydamine (1,5 mg per ml).

I was really bored and couldn't sleep, so I found and decided to try 200mg of Benzydamine, a low dose of a supposed recreational drug: Wikipedia said: Benzydamine has been used recreationally.

This first benzydamine trip had been surprisingly lucid, as it didn't impair me, mentally and physically, as profoundly as classical deliriants have before, for an equivalent hallucinosis. Distortions of reality touched on sinister themes, but I never gotโ€ฆ
