    Aliases: Pro-diazepam

    Summary dose.wiki

Avizafone (CAS 65617-86-9) is a water-soluble lysine prodrug of diazepam developed for rapid intramuscular administration in nerve-agent antidote kits. It cyclizes in plasma (t1/2 approximately 3-4 minutes) to diazepam with an elimination half-life of approximately 0.75 hours for the parent compound, while the resulting diazepam exhibits its typical 20-40 hour half-life. Community users exploit the powder's hygroscopic nature to prepare aqueous or PEG/ethanol solutions for oral dropper dosing but note variable potency (approximately 0.7-1.0x diazepam by mass) and sticky handling issues.

    Dose Information Drugs.Wiki

Dose basis. Oral: Ranges are aggregated from community reports; no peer‑reviewed human dosing monograph exists. Oral avizafone is a prodrug to diazepam. Due to molecular weight differences and variable conversion, mg-for-mg potency is expected to be lower than diazepam. Start low and titrate cautiously; see notes and interactions for factors that increase potency (e.g., CYP2C19/CYP3A4 inhibition). Anecdotal reports indicate substantial between‑person variability. Intramuscular: Intended clinical route in legacy research. Use of non‑sterile solvents or technique risks abscess, cellulitis, and systemic infection. Water‑soluble avizafone does not require propylene glycol; avoid improvised PG/EtOH injectates. If someone chooses to IM despite risks, use new sterile equipment, bacteriostatic/sterile water, rotate sites, and never share supplies. Community reports only; not a recommendation. Tolerance

Build-up develops over 1–4 weeks of daily use; hypnotic tolerance faster than anxiolytic tolerance
Reset Falls after you stop, at a rate that varies from person to person. If you've been using regularly, cut down gradually with medical help rather than stopping suddenly.

No tolerance chart. Our decay curves for these drugs were estimates, and a curve can make tolerance look longer-lasting than it is, which is the dangerous direction.

How fast tolerance to these drugs fades after a break has not been measured well enough to draw, so don't count on a dose you used to take still being safe: after time off, start with a much smaller amount and don't use alone. Mixing sedatives with each other, with alcohol or with opioids sharply raises the risk of a fatal overdose. If you've been using regularly, don't stop suddenly: withdrawal from benzodiazepines, alcohol or GHB/GBL can cause seizures or delirium, so get medical help to cut down gradually.

The PsychonautWiki Journal logging app doesn't include every substance. To track Avizafone there, start adding an ingestion, search for the name, and choose to add it as a custom substance. Paste these values:

Note: ranges are harm-reduction guidance, not a prescription. Start low, go slow, and test your substances.

Tip: for quicker logging you can also add a Custom Unit in the app, e.g. common dose ~ 22.5 mg (Oral).

The app keeps custom substances simple, so the full dose ranges live in the description text above. Ranges are harm-reduction guidance, not a prescription.
