    Summary dose.wiki Erowid TripSit PsychonautWiki

(R)-Modafinil (also known as Armodafinil and by the brand names Nuvigil, Artvigil, and Waklert) is a eugeroic substance of the benzhydryl class. Armodafinil is the enantiopure formulation of modafinil (brand name Provigil). As opposed to the racemic formulation, which contains a 50/50 mix of both the (S) and (R) enantiomers, armodafinil consists of just the (R)-enantiomer of modafinil.

    Tolerance

    Tolerance Decay

Full tolerance 14d Half tolerance 7d Baseline ~14d

Users report some loss of effect with continuous daily use over weeks; spacing doses (e.g., weekends off) may slow tolerance. Empirical, anecdotal data only; no robust human PK/PD tolerance studies specific to armodafinil. Prioritise sleep hygiene to reduce compensatory dose escalation.

    Effects Erowid

Aggregated from 7 single-substance Erowid experience reports; 13 Erowid reports where another drug was taken too are left out

Each bar shows the share of analyzed reports whose text mentions that effect — a mention is not always a first-hand experience (fear of an effect or something witnessed can count). Mentions saying the effect did not happen are left out; that check reads keywords, so it can miss some. The shaded band on a bar, and the small range after its number, is the 95% interval: where the share could plausibly be with other reports of the same kind. Fewer reports, wider band. Tap or hover any number for details. The second value is the Bluelight extractor's per-effect confidence; a dash means the row is Erowid-derived, which has no confidence measurement.

Too few reports for bars: these effects come from 7 single-substance Erowid reports, and a bar is drawn only from 20 reports or more. With fewer, a percentage cannot tell a common effect from a rare one. Counts are shown instead. Why 20?

Also reported in combinations. In the 13 Armodafinil reports where another drug was taken too, 3 mention hospital, emergency services or an overdose, 0 a seizure and 0 psychosis (too few reports for percentages). In the 7 single-substance reports: 0, 0 and 0. These are not in the figures above: they cannot be put down to Armodafinil alone, and a mention is not always something that happened to the writer.

Saved My Sanity neutral exp #109021

How Armodafinil Saved My Sanity Let me begin this experience essay with a note on my prescription for armodafinil. I was prescribed this medication by a practicing psychiatrist for a qualifying medical condition. I did not break rules or bend the truth in order to obtain my prescription.

It all started around November time when I was struggling in college, and was looking into getting some help with my ADHD. I had previously been medicated for but not for a very long time, not since I was 13 or 14 when I stopped as in the UK there super strict about even giving a diagnose let alone giving you something...

This is my experience with armodafinil. A buddy of mine procured some and loved it, he insisted I try it out. After doing lots of research, I decided it wasn't harmful for my body and I could really use a boost because my motivation has been shot the last few months.

Now, to start off, I have a legitimate medical reason to be taking this drug. I have an incurable, degenerative disease that causes, among other things, severe, incessant fatigue. So, about the drug: Molecules have something called 'handedness'; they can be right- or left-handed.

I was diagnosed with depression many years ago and have been on and off various SSRIs. All of these have worked, fleetingly, and I wondered if I couldn't chock it up to a placebo effect.

I Took It From Monday to Friday neutral exp #116580

First Week Taking Armodafinil This week, I tried Modafinil for the first time. I took it from Monday to Friday. I ingested it with water, between 9am and 10am. During the day, I also consumed coffee - since I usually drink coffee everyday, it was necessary to get a clear impression of the experiment.

A little over a year ago, I was diagnosed with narcolepsy. I must note that I was diagnosed with narcolepsy but do not actually have narcolepsy. The condition is pretty easy to fake, and the results of the sleep analysis are pretty easy to manipulate even with the most basic understanding of circadian rhythms.

Modafinil/Nuvigil for Amphetamine Addiction I am a 44 year old woman who has suffered from dysthymia/atypical depression for my lifetime. Much of this is genes, much is ptsd-related from a chaotic childhood marked by episodic violence, abuse and forced isolation.

    Import into PsychonautWiki Journal

The PsychonautWiki Journal app includes Armodafinil, but its built-in data can be thinner than ours. Importing this file adds a separate "Armodafinil (Substance Search)" custom substance with our dose ranges, durations and tolerance, so you can log against whichever you prefer.

⬇ Download import file Import this file as custom substances and you get "Armodafinil (Substance Search)" with every route's full dose ladder and timeline, no typing. Works on iOS and Android (v15+); the format is confirmed by the app's developer.

Ranges are harm-reduction guidance, not a prescription.
