I'll start off with a little history about my love affair with opiates. It started years before I became an addict with a bottle of hydrocodone I got for surgery, I realized very quickly that I really liked the effect especially the mental/emotional suppression (though at the time I was not depressed I still saw the po...

Summary
Ibogaine is a powerful alkaloid with unique psychedelic and dissociative properties used clinically for addiction treatment but carries significant cardiac risks including QT prolongation and arrhythmias. Medical supervision with cardiac monitoring is essential due to serious potential complications including death. It produces a two-phase experience: an initial visionary phase with intense visual phenomena lasting 4-8 hours, followed by a prolonged introspective phase.
Dose Information
Dose basis. Ranges below refer to ibogaine HCl. Flood-dose protocols used for addiction interruption are weight-based (commonly 15–25 mg/kg HCl), not simple fixed mg; TA (total alkaloid) and root bark are highly variable in iboga alkaloid content and should not be equated to HCl without lab data. Dosing guidance is largely from user/clinic reports; medical supervision strongly advised. (Dose figures and this note are from Drugs.Wiki.)

Effect Profile
50 reportsScores (0–10) curated from multiple sources:
- Effect keyword matching from PsychonautWiki catalog
- Validated against 33 Erowid trip reports
- Weighted by importance: core (×3), major (×2), minor (×1)
Strong visuals, headspace, and auditory effects with strong body load
Moderate insight with strong motor impairment, moderate mania, mild dissociative depth
Tolerance
Tolerance Decay
Acute tachyphylaxis to re-dosing is common due to persistent noribogaine; functional sensitivity returns over days–weeks. Repeated high-dose use is uncommon due to intensity and cardiotoxic window.

Effects
Aggregated from 33 single-substance Erowid and 17 Bluelight experience reports; 13 Erowid reports where another drug was taken too are left out
Each bar shows the share of analyzed reports whose text mentions that effect — a mention is not always a first-hand experience (fear of an effect or something witnessed can count). Mentions saying the effect did not happen are left out; that check reads keywords, so it can miss some. The shaded band on a bar, and the small range after its number, is the 95% interval: where the share could plausibly be with other reports of the same kind. Fewer reports, wider band. Tap or hover any number for details. The second value is the Bluelight extractor's per-effect confidence; a dash means the row is Erowid-derived, which has no confidence measurement.
Rows resting on fewer than 20 reports show a count (“3 of 7”) instead of a bar. Why 20?

Also reported in combinations. In the 13 Ibogaine reports where another drug was taken too, 3 mention hospital, emergency services or an overdose, 1 a seizure and 1 psychosis (too few reports for percentages). In the 33 single-substance reports: 15.2%, 0.0% and 6.1%. These are not in the figures above: they cannot be put down to Ibogaine alone, and a mention is not always something that happened to the writer.

I took the ibogaine a day and a half after my 25th birthday. I had been addicted to heroin since I was almost 21 years old. I had tried kicking before but not for some time and never more than for a few days.
I had a window of opportunity and I went through it. I was fortunate enough (good Karma) to be on the receiving end of the 'Gift of Freedom' ....Ibogaine. I will not mention who gave it to me, as that is not my purpose. My purpose is to share the joy of drug freedom and to take you through my Ibogaine Experience.
Iboga I (written Sunday 5th June, 2011) So I've been talking about it and on this Thursday just gone, I did it. And now it's time to write it up. Background I first heard about iboga during a radio interview with Bruce Parry, talking about his experience taking it with the Bwiti in Gabon.
My Negative Experience with Ibogaine I am a female, age 29 and sought ibogaine treatment in September 2010 in Mexico. It was a very difficult experience for me, and it has taken me a full year to be able to write about it.
I was supposed to take ibogaine on Tuesday night, but Rocky, the administrator of the clinic was feeling sick and said the day didnt feel right. I was disappointed but had to agree, everything was a little off. I had been dreaming about ibogaine even before I arrived in Mexico.
I was reminded of ibogaine by my cousin who had recently opened an ibogaine clinic in Mexico, where it's legal. I had read about it fifteen years earlier, but I was only familiar with the addiction interruption properties of ibogaine, not its psychotherapeutic qualities.
I took ibogaine in the middle of January for my heroin/meth addiction. I ingested one gram of hcl per about seventy kgs. I was clean from all opioids/opiates for fifty-six hours and I was suffering tremendously. I dumped the powder in a glass of water and gulped it all down.

March 25, 2019 EDIT: I had Lyme disease and Babesia at the time of dosage. I was also suppressing my immune system with drugs for rheumatoid arthritis. I was not well during the time of this experience. It's almost a miracle I survived.
Tripping on iboga I found this awhile ago. It's not mine, though it is a trip report of interest. Remove it if you well. If this is not an appropriate place to post it.
Part Two: Later that year This trip report will read a lot like the Seinfeld episode where time goes backwards, the end of the episode is at the start, and the start is at the ending.
Here it is, folks. Thanks for your patience... PRELIMINARIES Myself: male, 80 kg I've been addicted to cocaine for almost 24 years; it's been essentially a low-level habit of one half gram of cocaine powder per day, insufflated--never smoked, injected, or taken per os .
Well.. There aren't too many reports around here about Ibogaine, so I thought it might be appropriate to share about my first time with it. I originally posted this on an Iboga forum, where it was meant for specific people, so if anything doesn't sound quite right it's just because I'm being too lazy to edit it.
This evening, I was researching ibogaine, a medicine that I used once before, 8 years ago. Back then, I was a raver, a compulsive user of coke and amphetamines, and I also had a very serious drinking problem.
I hope I am doing this right lol I am new to making threads...here is my back story. I am 29 I have had an opiate addiction (meaning any and all opiates) and at about age 23 started shooting instead of snorting or PO. Also I switched to methadone maintenance which sucked the life out of me and began smoking crack.

The PsychonautWiki Journal app includes Ibogaine, but its built-in data can be thinner than ours. Importing this file adds a separate "Ibogaine (Substance Search)" custom substance with our dose ranges, durations and tolerance, so you can log against whichever you prefer.
